This is the first  round of the School of Education PGR Exceptional Achievement Award and we are very proud of our CLER PGRs

Chiara Bruzzano

Chiara received this award for her academic excellence – her nomination included an impressive list of papers, presentations and awards. Chiara has also prepared and delivered sessions on our undergraduate programmes and for the Refugee Education and Training Advice Service.

Daniel Fobi

Dani is known for his positive attitude. He contributes to the school and university community through teaching, Invigilating, presenting his research, and supporting research events within the community. One nomination described Dani as ‘not only a good friend but one of the kindest PGRs I have met at the School of Education’.

Giorgia Faraoni

Giorgia has been active in organising RSEC and other research events for the past two years.  This year was particularly challenging because of the postponement and move online and Giorgia did all the work of contacting and re-contacting presenters to make arrangements She was also responsible for putting together the conference booklet so marvelously. Giorgia also bakes wonderful cakes as both her supervisors and fellow PGRs can testify.

Ruaa Hariri

Ruaa’s contribution to the school has been immense. One nomination said simply “because she’s brilliant” but as the LUU PGR representative, Ruaa has worked tirelessly to develop our PGR support, community and activities. She has been part of the conference committee (and made the website), represents PGRs on the School of Education Research and Innovation Committee and in the Faculty of Social Sciences Graduate School.  Ruaa has been responsible for a number of initiatives, including these awards, so it is only fitting that she herself receives one for her exceptional contribution to the School of Education PGR community.
